Healthy eating is about enjoying natural foods and happy mealtimes rather than focusing on fad diets and abstaining from your favourite foods.
To guide you towards eating well, I can help you to take small, personalised steps using science-based advice to reach your weight and health goals.
My one to one consultations take place either remotely (over the phone or Zoom), or face to face at my office in Tring, Hertfordshire (between Aylesbury and Hemel Hempstead), which ever suits you best.
I give targeted, individualised advice to help you make dietary changes that lasts.
In the initial consultation I do a lot of listening to find out how food fits into your day to day life. Together we explore your current diet in detail and understanding your aims and concerns. Based on this we develop a plan that will move you towards a healthy diet in an achievable, enjoyable and sustainable way.

Hi there, I am a registered nutritionist (ANutr) with the Association for Nutrition, recognised by the NHS and Public Health England to provide diet advice.
I give practical advice, guided by science, to improve health and wellbeing. My main areas of expertise include:
I am also a regular contributor to several magazines, and the volunteer nutritionist for cholesterol charity Heart UK.
I have a Masters degree in Human Nutrition (Distinction) and I am trained in behaviour change techniques, which are crucial for making successful changes to your dietary habits.
Previously I spent fifteen years developing the parenting site Netmums and was lucky enough to be awarded an OBE for “services to families” in 2012. My Netmums highlights included developing the food section, aimed at making family eating healthy and fun, and using the parent power of Netmums to campaign on food related issues making it easier for parents to serve up healthier meals. I also developed an online course, sponsored by the Department of Health, giving parents confidence in their own ability to cook and provide healthy food for loved ones.
Successful weight management is not about fad diets, calorie counting and banning foods. I will help you understanding your diet choices and find achievable ways to become (and stay) a healthy weight, offering lots of support and behaviour change tactics along the way. All without banning your faviourite foods.
"It’s so nice to be able to fit into my t-shirts and trousers"
Our western diet often leads to inflammation and increased risk of chronic diseases such as heart disease and T2 diabetes 2. But by making changes to your diet you can reduce these risks. I will work with you to reduce cholesterol, blood pressure +/or blood sugar by making small, targeted changes to your diet.
"I'm going in the right direct for Type 2 Diabetes remission"
Eating well helps us stay fitter and stronger for longer, and also protects against illness as we get older. I highlight key food groups and nutrients that are vital in middle to old age (for heart, bone, muscle and brain health) and I provide practical ways to incorporate them into your life.
"Cathy gave me really good practical suggestions on how to improve my strength through diet."
"With Cathy's help, my partner and I have identified the parts of our diet that were not great, and worked step by step to create much better and healthier meals.
Although our initial goal was to lose weight, which has been successful, the other side effects were where a good diet really comes into its own.
We found that we had more energy, and were calmer. We started to laugh uncontrollably and found life became more fun and playful again.
This has made eating a healthy diet, not just something that I have to do, but something I look forward to.”
"It was very interesting and informative to speak with Cathy about my diet. She pointed out many ways of changing things to achieve the low salt, low sugar and low fat diet that I’ve recently had to face since having a stroke. My diet is now mostly home made, simple but effective. Thank you Cathy”
"I must tell you that I already feel like a new person… you might think I’m exaggerating but seriously it is like turning the lights back on. I am so glad I contacted you for this dietary assessment because I was really struggling with my tiredness.”
"After many crash diets I decided to seek help from a local Registered Nutritionist, Cathy Court. Following a few weeks of meetings with Cathy, my blood test shows my cholesterol and blood sugar have reduced and going in the right direct for Type 2 Diabetes remission. It’s also so nice to be able to fit into my t-shirts and trousers.
I’m extremely impressed with Cathy’s approach. Her advice and support have been first class and she has the tools I need to develop a long-term healthy eating and exercise regime.
I’m so delighted to have discovered Cathy Court to help me along the path to better health."
"I asked Cathy to look at my diet and design a food plan to give me better strength and energy. Although mostly I ate sensibly she noted that protein, selenium and vitamin D was on the low side. She gave me really good practical suggestions on how to improve this and her ideas took into account my likes and dislikes. A great help and all achieved in an encouraging and kind manner."
